CAVALIER PRACTICAL PISTOL MATCHES

Schedule for 2009

Practical Pistol Matches to be held 3^rd SATURDAY each month MARCH through OCTOBER.

Match dates will be:  March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, & October 17.

STARTING TIME will be 9:00 AM on RANGE NUMBER 4.

FEES

The Match Fee is $5.00 and the Refire Fee is $3.00.

COURSE OF FIRE

STAGE A,   7 yard line:  12 rounds, D/A, standing with no support, in 20 second time limit.

STAGE B, 25 yard line:  18 rounds, D/A, 6 rounds kneeling*  with no support, 6 rounds standing L/H barricade, 6

     rounds standing R/H barricade in 90 second time limit.

STAGE C, 25 yard line:  24 rounds, D/A, 6 rounds sitting*  6 rounds prone*  and 6 rounds standing L/H barricade, 6

     rounds standing R/H barricade in 2 minute & 45 second time limit.

STAGE D, 15 yard line:    6 rounds, D/A, standing with no support in 12 second time limit.

*  If a competitor is unable to assume a kneeling, sitting, or prone firing position, contact the Range Officer before the start of the match and you will be allowed to use weak-hand barricade instead for those positions.

NOTE:  All firing will be Double Action (D/A) and shooters must use the barricade for support.

EQUIPMENT

You will need:  Eye and ear protection, 60 rounds of ammo, and either (A) a centerfire, double action revolver (.38 caliber minimum), strong side holster (no crossdraw, etc.) and at least three speed load devices; or (B) a centerfire, semi-auto pistol (9mm caliber minimum), strong side holster and at least four magazines.  Note that if using an auto pistol no more than six rounds may be loaded in any magazine.
