SMALLBORE SILHOUETTE MATCH [SBS]

Third [3rd] Saturday of each month rain or shine [covered firing point]

Target setting, starts @ 8:30 am [PLEASE COME HELP WITH THIS]

Sight-in starts @ 9:00am

Match starts @ 10;00 am

We do not use paid target setters, so come and help set targets or stay a little bit after the match and help put them away

Match 1,  40 shots

Match 2,  40 shots

This lets folks that shoot both divisions  (HUNTING RIFLE  and  MATCH RIFLE) shoot both rifles

If weather is really awfully we may decide to shoot one [1] 60 shot match

Shooters who know this sport will help you get to know the course of fire and help with zeros

You may wish to see if you can get a good 40 yd ‘zero’ before you come out

Most shooters use standard velocity ammo 22 LR only (CCI Blue box works well is many rifles).

You will be shooting Off Hand without the use of a sling or special shooting coat

Distances are 40 yds for the chicken, 60 yds for the pig, 77 yds for the turkey and 100 yds for the ram. We shoot the same course of fire as Hi Power Silhouette but our targets are 1/5 as big and 1/5 the distance so this is great practice for Hi Power Silhouette [HPS]

Gate opens @ 8:15am and closes @ 10:15am

Match fee is $10.00  to include all matches shot that day

Silhouette NRA Book is required after your first match

Match is open to everyone

Empty Chamber Indictor is required  [ECI], the old term was Open Bolt Indicator  [OBI]

Match director will have extras ECI’s

With sight-in and matches you should bring 100 rounds

Scopes are needed, we suggest 9x as a minimum power

ATTENTION Plinkers and NRA-style Cowboy Lever-action (CBLA) .22lr rimfire shooters

We are having a practice-only shoot during the Smallbore Silhouette match. This is not an approved NRA shoot, it is practice only. This is great practice for aspiring NRA Smallbore Silhouette shooters or Cowboy Lever Action shooters.

CBLA Rifle Class (NRA style): Cowboy Lever Action .22lr rimfire rifle with iron sights only.

Targets are swingers (hits are counted on steel plate), 2-1/2 times bigger than Smallbore targets.

Match 1: 40 shots; Match 2: 40 shots; shoot one or both.

Distances: 40 yds for chickens, 50 yds for pigs, 75 yds for turkeys and 100 yds for rams.
