Hunter's Pistol And Cowboy Lever Action Rifle
Hunter's Pistol and Cowboy Lever Action Rifle At Cavalier
NRA Hunter's Pistol and Cowboy Lever Action Rifle are two of the most popular of the silhouette games. The steel targets are shaped like chickens (40 meters), pigs (50 meters), turkeys (75 meters) and rams (100 meters). Only straight-wall pistol cartridges are allowed, with the exception of the .22 Hornet and 25-20. The gun can be any pistol available to the general public with the barrel length no more than 12 inches and the weight no more than 5 pounds. Scopes are allowed as well as open sights.
The Lever Action Rifle is shot at the same time as the Hunter's Pistol. It must be a Lever Action Rifle with iron sights and shoot a straight-wall pistol cartridge. The .22LR can be any tube-fed rifle with iron sights. Targets are the same size and distance as for Hunter's Pistol.
Matches are held on Range 2 on the 2nd Saturday of every month all year round - we're a hardy bunch. We shoot rain or shine. There is always a gun available at the matches and someone to show you how it's done. It's great fun, so come out and give it a try.
ATTENTION Plinkers and NRA-style Cowboy Lever-action (CBLA) .22lr rimfire shooters
We are having a practice-only shoot during the Smallbore Silhouette match. This is not an approved NRA shoot, it is practice only. This is great practice for aspiring NRA Smallbore Silhouette shooters or Cowboy Lever Action shooters.
Plinking Rifle Class: any .22lr rimfire rifle, scoped or iron-sighted.
CBLA Rifle Class (NRA style): Cowboy Lever Action .22lr rimfire rifle with iron sights only.

Match 1: 40 shots; Match 2: 40 shots; shoot one or both.
Distances: 40 yds for chickens, 50 yds for pigs, 75 yds for turkeys and 100 yds for rams.
